YOGA is an ancient SCIENCE, Practice and Philosophy, which find its origin in India since immemorial time.
Its aims are the psychophysical, mental and spiritual developments of the SELF.

The word Yoga derives from Sanskrit root YUJ meaning to bind, join, attach, to direct and concentrate one's attention on, to use and to apply.
It also means union or communion.
It means the discipline of the intellect, the mind, the emotions, the will, which that Yoga presupposes.
It means a POISE of the soul, which enables one to look at life in all aspects evenly.

Yoga aspires to awaken the latent intelligence of the Body-Mind-Heart and Consciousness in harmony
IT serves to remove unconscious tension, stiffness and blockages in the flow of energy. (Prana or Chi)

By RELAXATION of body and mind, LETTING GO of UNEASY PATTERNS, ROOTING, CONNECTING,
BREATHING AND ELONGATING, the energy, which was prisoner or dormient in the body, is RELEASED.
This process gives birth to MINDFULNESS through action.

To be spiritual does not mean to negate the body and seek escape in words, but to integrate the gross
of the body to the Spirit, in a sensitive, accurate, calm, conscious, balanced WAY.

Spirituality is corporal as well mental. It is an actual living condition!

"With repeated meditation practice the expanse of the visible universe with all its qualities dissolves to nothing, to where there is only health and great joy. All teaching comes to this."
from Lalleshwari, Lalla the great yogini, prophetess and practitioner of Yoga. Kashmir, 14th century

In deep relaxation the Silence, Innocence, and Joy of the Body can emerge and join into the " Dance of the Universe". With vigilant act of distinguishing and discerning calmly we abide to a very SINGLE point of concentration. Tension is the noise, the confusion of the body/mind reality.
