Italian, born in Florence and based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, since 20 years.
Coming from an ‘eclectic’ background, including 2 decades of dance performing, classical, modern and contemporary dance education.
Graduation at the School Dance Academy of Amsterdam (1989) S.N.D.O.
She has been teaching Authentic Movement, Release technique, Contact Dance and Alignment technique.
Since 1993 Silvia teaches also the Alexander Technique. She is a qualified teacher and member of NeVLAT (the ducht Society of the Alexander Technique). She works for more than a decade at the Teachers Training School directed by Arie Jan Hoorweg in Amstelveen.
She has and extended experience of bringing the means of the Technique into different ' worlds ' of studies as well as professions such as: Classical musicians, singers, actors, dancers, martial artist, physiotherapists, psycotherapist, lawyers, healers, and counselors.
Parallels to the above mentioned, Silvia begins her journey with Hatha Yoga in the early 80's following the B.K.S Iyengar style in Florence.
From 1990 begins to teach YOGA in various venues in Holland.
In 2001 received teaching recognition from the European Teachers Training conducted by Dona Holleman and Orit Sen-Gupta. While traveling regularly to India she comes close to the Ashtanga-Yoga style taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Joys/ from the lineage of the great yogi T. Krishnamacharja, in Mysore-Karnataka, South India.
Recently has opened her own studio-shala at her HOME, right in the centre of Amsterdam, near by the Anne Frank Museum, where she teaches private, medical, and group classes of Yoga on: Asana, Pranayama, Dhyana.
Private tuition on the Alexander Technique as well introductory groups on the A.T.
